We would like to convey our hearty congratulations to Professor Touraj Daryaee as the new editor of the Encyclopædia Iranica, a comprehensive academic reference work “dedicated to the study of Iranian civilization in the Middle East, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Indian Subcontinent”, with the aim of eventually covering “all aspects of Iranian history and culture, as well as all Iranian languages and literatures, facilitating the entire range of Iranian studies research from archeology to political sciences” (see “scope”).

Professor Touraj Daryaee’s appointment, alongside the establishment of the new advisory board, marks the beginning of an exciting new era in the field of Persian and Iranian Studies, as well as in related fields.
