On July 6-7 2023, our team members Asghar Seyed-Gohrab and Maarten Holtzapffel will each give a lecture for the Conference ‘Jalal al-Din Rumi and his Legacy: Religion, Literature and Culture between Medieval Anatolia and the Persianate World, 13th -14th Centuries’ in Ankara.

Maarten Holtzapffel will give a lecture entitled ‘Rumi and Religious Pluralism: Mystical Poetry in the Political Theories of Abdolkarim Soroush’.

Asghar Seyed-Gohrab will give a lecture entitled ‘Justification of Sin in Rumi’s Poetry‘.
